Welcome back! If you’re not quite out of the Spring Break mindset, check out these free events to stretch out the fun a little longer.

Tuesday
Kick off your shoes, Lobos, it’s time to shake your groove thing. Dance your heart out at the UNM Dance marathon in the SUB Atrium from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. All ages.

Wednesday
Metropolis Art Gallery will open its newest exhibit, “Ghibli Jikan,” which will feature artwork inspired by anime films like “Spirited Away” and “Totoro.” Metropolis Art Gallery is located at 1102 Mountain Road NW and will be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Thursday
Share your feels at the “Fixed and Free Open Poetry Night” from 7 to 9 p.m. The twice-monthly event is held at The Source, located at 1111 Carlisle Boulevard SE. All ages.

Friday
If you want to learn to create art from artists, head over to Warehouse 508 for “Expression Sessions” at 5 p.m. The three-hour class will teach beginners and adepts alike new techniques that are sure to get those creative juices flowing. Warehouse 508 is located at 508 First Street NW. All ages.

Saturday
Have you dreamed of hitting it big as a reality show star? Well, now’s your chance. CBS’s “Big Brother” will hold an open casting call at Kelly’s Brew Pub from noon until 3 p.m. Kelly’s Brew Pub is at 3222 Central Avenue SE. 21

All Week
This week and throughout April, the Albuquerque BioPark will hold a commercial contest. Aspiring directors can submit a 30 second video about the park for a chance to win $1,500. Visit atlnm.com for more details. All ages.
