Editor,
I have heard more than one person say the United States has the best government money can buy. In what would seem to be an unfortunate confirmation of that statement, the Obama administration has recently given its blessing to Saudi Arabia’s recent invasion of Yemen. A popular uprising in Yemen recently sent former president Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi into exile, and Saudi Arabia seems hell-bent on shooting and bombing the new Yemeni government into submission.
It is a bad look for President Obama to support any government who decides to bomb its neighbors simply because they choose their own government. The Yemeni people did not fire a single bullet into Saudi Arabia, so why should the government of Saudi Arabia or the Obama administration think that this invasion is a good move? The American people should learn to be on the side of justice whenever conflicts break out in the world.
Saudi Arabia and President Obama are most definitely in the wrong when it comes to the recent invasion of Yemen. That’s my opinion and all the money in the world won’t make me change my mind.
Sincerely,
