This is a slow week for concert-goers in Albuquerque. There are only a few venues with shows booked this week. But for those looking for something to do, here are upcoming performances this week.

Star Canyon is a local female-led band with three albums currently released. According to their website, Star Canyon is “your guide to love songs for the post-apocalypse and other bad road trips.” Italian Rats, another Albuquerque band, has been featured on KUNM performing their song, “Live. Dead.”

Eagles of Death Metal, despite the impression the name might give, is a rock band from Palm Desert, California. They currently have three albums out, and the fourth record, “Zipper Down” is scheduled for release Oct. 2 this year.

Age: 21+
Chad Ginsburg is best known as a former member of heavy metal band CKY. He released his first solo album of the same genre, “Rock n Roll Alibis” in 2015.

Leeches of Lore, Major Games, Varma Cross

Age: 21+
Leeches of Lore, a local experimental folk band, has also been featured on KUNM. Major Games is a psychedelic rock band from Lawrence, Kan. and will be stopping at Sister Bar on tour. Varma Cross, also from Lawrence, Kan., is an indie rock group with one album currently available for purchase.
