Undergraduate Kacie Coffey explores how coral reefs contribute to the ocean’s diversity in a recent UNM BioBlog. Ranging from how a fish’s imprecise eating habits contribute to soft, sandy beaches to the formation of attols, Kacie discusses how undersea coral reefs contribute to the world’s biodiversity.
Kacie Coffey is an undergraduate student in the biology department and is graduating in May with biology and psychology dual degrees. You can contact her at k9coffey@unm.edu.
