Anti-mosque demonstrators bolster terrorist recruitment

Last updated: 08/31/10 12:22am

Editor,

I have always had an insatiable curiosity. Today, that insatiable curiosity prompts me to ask this question: Is it possible that the people in this country who demonstrate against constructing an Islamic building near the World Trade Center site and/or commit violent acts aimed at impeding construction of the building are unaware that their actions are being used by Al-Qaeda and the Taliban as conclusive proof that Christians in this country are an enemy force that must be opposed at all costs?

I prefer to think that they are not aware of this, because if they are we have a much more serious problem.
These people — who seem to have deluded themselves into believing that they are living according to Jesus’ teachings — serve as ammunition for Al-Qaeda and the Taliban in their efforts to obtain recruits (and yes, suicide bombers).

I would like to see this emphasized on prime-time newscasts so that it becomes common knowledge. The path to harmony, love and peace is not constructed with violent language that only results in more violent language. Nor is that path constructed with violent acts that result in more violent acts.
My insatiable curiosity prompts me to ask another question: Is a person who provides physical or verbal ammunition to a terrorist group guilty of having committed a terrorist act?

If we did nothing it would be used to recruit terrorists. Why do you think this is a religious war, they can guilt their members into believing anything. This is no different between this and crusades that could arguably be blamed for the entire mess in the Middle East. If you make a gun, or even a bullet, can you be blamed for it killing someone… they try it all the time, but there is no logic to the argument. Sorry Robert, try again…

Right. If only New Yorkers had embraced Fritz Kuhn and the German-American Bund, WWII Nazi recruitment would have suffered.

This appeasement (masquerading as “tolerance”) is insanity on stilts.

Gosh Robert, I had no idea the Taliban needed us as an excuse to hate the West. I thought Mohammed’s example and the message he left for Muslims in the Koran and Hadiths was all the justification the Taliban needed to hate the West (and all non-Muslims for that matter).

This is what Islamophobes said about Islam over a millenium ago. Think about it Robert. Were these men responsible for Muslim genocide too?

This is what I think of them, now that I know precisely about their way of life.”

Thank you, Robert, for pointing out this fact. I heard this on NPR but yes, this should be the lead story on the major news channels.

It has been reported from intelligence sources that al-Qaeda and the Taliban have already made use of the so-called “Moaque at Ground Zero” controversy in their recruiting. Add to that the arson and vandalism at a proposed mosque in Tennessee.

Lawrence,

Did you hear Mohammed attacked Khaybar because we wouldn’t allow him to build a mosque at Ground Zero?

Just kidding. Mohammed (like Al Qaeda) did not need any excuse to attack non-Muslims. Like Mohammed, Al Qaeda attacks non-Muslims simply because they’re NOT Muslims.

There’s nothing we can or cannot do — short of all converting to Islam — to appease these insane megalomaniacs.

Here is what two men said about Islam a long, long long time before the GZM was even an issue:

Patriarch Cyrus of Alexandria on Islam
“I am afraid that God has sent these men to lay waste the world”.

Gregory Palamus of Thessalonica on Islam

Here is what John Quincy Adams said about Islam:

John Quincy Adams on Islam
“In the seventh century of the Christian era, a wandering Arab of the lineage of Hagar [i.e., Muhammad], the Egyptian, combining the powers of transcendent genius, with the preternatural energy of a fanatic, and the fraudulent spirit of an impostor, proclaimed himself as a messenger from Heaven, and spread desolation and delusion over an extensive portion of the earth. Adopting from the sublime conception of the Mosaic law, the doctrine of one omnipotent God; he connected indissolubly with it, the audacious falsehood, that he was himself his prophet and apostle. Adopting from the new Revelation of Jesus, the faith and hope of immortal life, and of future retribution, he humbled it to the dust by adapting all the rewards and sanctions of his religion to the gratification of the sexual passion. He poisoned the sources of human felicity at the fountain, by degrading the condition of the female sex, and the allowance of polygamy; and he declared undistinguishing and exterminating war, as a part of his religion, against all the rest of mankind.”
THE ESSENCE OF HIS DOCTRINE WAS VIOLENCE AND LUST: TO EXALT THE BRUTAL OVER THE SPIRITUAL PART OF HUMAN NATURE (Adams’s capital letters). Between these two religions, thus contrasted in their characters, a war of twelve hundred years has already raged. The war is yet flagrant. While the merciless and dissolute dogmas of the false prophet shall furnish motives to human action, there can never be peace upon earth, and goodwill towards men.”

This is Thomas Jefferson’s experience with Islam (note to Lawrence…this is before the GZM issue):

In March 1785, Thomas Jefferson and John Adams went to negotiate with Tripoli’s envoy to London, Ambassador Sidi Haji Abdrahaman (or Sidi Haji Abdul Rahman Adja). Upon inquiring “concerning the ground of the pretensions to make war upon nations who had done them no injury”, the ambassador replied:

It was written in their Koran, that all nations which had not acknowledged the Prophet were sinners, whom it was the right and duty of the faithful to plunder and enslave; and that every muslim who was slain in this warfare was sure to go to paradise. He said, also, that the man who was the first to board a vessel had one slave over and above his share, and that when they sprang to the deck of an enemy’s ship, every sailor held a dagger in each hand and a third in his mouth; which usually struck such terror into the foe that they cried out for quarter at once. Amazing. Robert Gardiner has managed, in just a few paragraphs, to make the mental leap that opposing Islam should be a felony offense. A quite serious felony at that. Such mental dexterity should be rewarded with gainful employment. I hear the GOP is looking for speech writers with his finely honed sense of logic and cause-and-effect.

I agree with Robert, fighting hate with hate is not a good strategy. Besides, just like any religion a few extremists do not represent an entire group.

Shortly after 9/11, there was an email going around showing a minaret at Ground Zero. This mosque has been in the works for a long time, and is an insult to our way of life. Those who do not realize that there is a worldwide Islamofascist movement to impose Shariah law around the world have their heads buried in the sand. The dominoes are falling, Malaysia, Indonesia, Bali, extremists pushing for more extreme forms of Shariah. CAIR officials have advocated imposition of Shariah law through the political system in the US. Our open society will not survive against this onslaught, unless we demand reciprocity. Muslims need to learn to respect women and women’s rights, gays and gay rights, be monogamous, to work hard and not expect infidels to support them with jizya, to be happy, pet dogs and assimilate if they want to live in America, else they should get their asses back to their slimey Shariah pits of origin.

The Saudis have too much money and not enough sense. Their wahhabist freaky form of Islam along with the Shia radicals have the planet on the path to hell. Now is the time to stop them, if it is not already too late.

Lawrence’s ignorance is clearly unassailable. A mosque (or masjid) is literally ANY place where Muslims make salat, the prayer performed in the direction of Mecca; it needn’t be a building. Muslim cabbies use public parking garages as mosques all over this country.

Anti-jihadist still refuses to respond to my question. He originally claimed that there an estimated 40- to 50,000 mosques in this nation, an absurd figure.

Since I pointed this lie out, he just keeps repeating “there are no official estimates” (true) and attempts to count “invariably underestimate the number” (maybe). But he leaves out his ridiculous 40,000 – 50,000 claim, as if he never wrote it.

He keeps pasting the link to a map of estimated mosques by state as evidence, which when any thinking person looks at it and adds up the figures, will get a total of only a few hundred – NOT tens of thousands.

So I conclude that anti-jihadist did, indeed, pull that out of his ass.
