Six figure deficit set to be payed off in five years
About a year ago, some University budget officials and College of Fine Arts representatives noticed a problem.
That problem took the shape of a $555,000 budget deficit between two accounts within the college.
"These kinds of problems are not terribly unusual," said Max Kerlin, UNM director of resource management.

BOSTON — Harvard Law School will allow official on-campus recruiting by the military this year rather than risk costing the university $328 million in federal funds.
For more than a decade, the law school has prohibited recruiters who discriminate on the basis of sexual orientation from using its facilities, including its career services office.
