Black storms Duke City
In his weekly spot on "The Daily Show," Lewis Black peppers political commentary with comedy.
These two components of his routine may seem incompatible, but for Black, modern politics and comedy are one and the same - both are likely to be ridiculous.
While Black is making audiences laugh with his political observations, he said he finds the state of affairs in America slightly less amusing.
Attell storms Duke City
Comedian and scholar of intoxication Dave Attell says that Jack Daniels could easily beat Captain Morgan in a fistfight. "Jack Daniels has the heart, but Captain Morgan has the wind," Attell said. "Captain Morgan's the kind of guy who would not beat you that day, but would find you a week later and beat you in the head with a hammer.

Guitar center brings music to community
There's no better way to share music than to teach it.
This idea seems to be key in the success of Marc's Guitar Center. In honor of its 25th year, the UNM area business will be giving away guitars and conducting workshops at local Albuquerque public schools.
'Agent' quietly gains praise
The independent, low-budget film "The Station Agent" quietly wowed critics across the nation and swept up several awards even before its national release date.
The film will be opening in Albuquerque Friday at Madstone.
For star Bobby Cannavale, the film was an opportunity to work with great friends.

Composer's emphasis on melody
Carl Donsbach grew up listening to '60s and '70s rock 'n' roll.
Over the years, his musical tastes expanded, and last week, his composition "Palomita Cancion for Piano Trio" won the New Mexico Composer's Competition held by the John Donald Robb Musical Trust at UNM.
