Community addresses concerns with plans to develop golf course (Video)
UNM President David Schmidly got booed at a meeting Sunday when he showed an artist's rendition of a retirement community that could be built on the North Golf Course.
About 200 people attended the meeting at the law school to discuss possible development of the course with Schmidly and other UNM administrators.

Some agents spend their days digging through trash and installing wiretaps, IRS special agent Jerry Gomez said.
The agents, known as certified forensic examiners, investigate tax fraud and enforce tax laws, Gomez said.

N'DJAMENA, Chad - Seven Europeans among 17 detained for over a week in an alleged attempt to kidnap 103 African children were released Sunday and left the country with French President Nicolas Sarkozy.
It was the second time since taking office in May that the French leader has intervened in a major international legal dispute.
Nationalists march in Moscow

MOSCOW - A white supremacist from Texas lifted his black cowboy hat into the air as he stepped forward to address thousands of Russian nationalists at a rally Sunday in Moscow.
"I'm taking my hat off as a sign of respect for your strong identity in ethnicity, nation and race," said Preston Wiginton, 43, exposing his close-cropped head to a freezing drizzle.
