Members of several income equality advocacy groups, as well as local supporters of a higher minimum wage, met at Focus Ink on April 22 for the Albuquerque stop of the Americans United for Change’s “Give America a Raise” bus tour.
The raised beds are filled with organic topsoil and planted with chile peppers. Full sun will make for ideal growing conditions. Creeping groundcover surrounds the box and will help keep moisture in the soil.
Save the stems, seeds and membranes from the peppers. Simmer briefly to extract the capsaicin. This liquid will be used to adjust the consistency and spiciness of the final sauce.
