The newest exhibit at the UNM Art Museum celebrates books of all kinds, from ancient to three-dimensional and limited editions to illustrated books. The museum is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and the exhibit runs until May 25.

This foodie film explores the salad greens of Santa Fe, the pies of Cleveland, the crab cakes of Baltimore and the heirloom tomatoes of Nashville, Tenn. — all of which are sold at farmers markets. The film, hosted by the Sustainability Studies program, runs from noon to 1:30 p.m. in Mitchell Hall, Room 101.
WARPED TOUR

No, the Vans Warped Tour isn’t coming to UNM — but the founder of it is. Founder Kevin Lyman speaks in the SUB about the craziness of touring with 100 famous bands, and he tells stories about the bands and the music business. The event starts at 7 p.m., and I have a feeling it’s going to get cray-cray.

If you’re gearing up for a senior thesis or graduate dissertation, you might need to use EndNote X, software that helps manage, organize and save citation information as you research. This tutorial, which starts at 6 p.m. in Zimmerman Library, Room 105, will get you started. Just remember to bring your laptop and install EndNote X beforehand.

If you want to brush up on your writing-to-newspaper-editor skills, then check out this workshop. The executive director of Quote Unquote, Inc. teaches attendees how to write a compelling letter and why it’s important to write in to your local paper. Here’s one tip: Letters should never be more than 800 words. The workshop is at 6 p.m. in the Scholar Room in the SUB. Bring something to write with.
