Forward Cameron Bairstow netted a game-high 22 points to lead the New Mexico men’s basketball team to a 78-65 win at Utah State Tuesday night.

The Lobos (16-4, 8-1 Mountain West) played their second straight game without starting center Alex Kirk, who’s been dealing with a lower leg injury. He also missed Saturday’s game at Colorado State.

UNM held a 41-33 halftime lead before outscoring Utah. The Lobos improved to a 14-0 record this season in games when leading after the first 20 minutes.

Guard Kendall Williams added 16 points for UNM, while guards Deshawn Delany and Cullen Neal scored 12 apiece.

Utah State had three reach double figures in Jarred Shaw (15 points), Preston Medlin (13 points) and Kyle Davis (10 points).
