Holy comic art, Batman!

Superheroes have left the Hall of Justice and have found a new home on the walls of Albuquerque’s Metropolis Comic Art Gallery. Husband-and-wife team Michael Borin and Jody Masters opened the gallery, located in Old Town on the corner of Mountain Road and 11th Street.

Club is out of this world

Rather than stay locked in his office, Bob Mesler decided to spend his nights staring at the sky with other UNM students. Mesler, a graduate student at UNM, started the astronomy club in 2012 with Mark Gorski, who is now the club’s vice president.

Store for comic lovers opens

Heroes like Batman and Wolverine have found a new home in Albuquerque, thanks to brothers Matt and Greg Trujillo. On June 14 the brothers opened a new comic book store, Age of Comics, on Osuna near San Mateo.
