It’s staggering to think that in two millennia of Christian nations full of Christian leaders, there are almost no visible signs of Christ’s message in them. No emergence of a Christian nation that embodies the message of Jesus: charity, peace, humility, love. Nation after nation and not one leper touched, not one beam pulled from an eye, by so many alleged Christian leaders.
The following is a letter home from the annual war on Christmas.
There have been some recent opinions in the Daily Lobo about love, relationships, dating and other aspects of interpersonal interaction beyond friendship. I’ve agreed with some points and disagreed with others, but all in all I’ve enjoyed following the debates. I also wanted to ante up my two cents on the subject and perhaps inject a more clinical thought on love, the heart and human beings.
They never cease to amaze me, the thoughts of many in this country regarding socialism. Many reject it outright with scorn and derision and remain blissfully ignorant that America already has forms of socialism at work in it. When tax dollars are taken from people and spent by the government for the betterment of society, that is socialism. While many reject socialism as a word, they support it as an ideal.
Despite attempting 13 shots, including six on goal, the No. 14 New Mexico men’s soccer team dropped its second consecutive game after a 1-0 loss to unranked Drake Friday night at the UNM Soccer Complex.
