Thoma sits behind the wheel of the “Art Truck.” The Chevy is retrofitted to run on both propane and gasoline.

Thoma specially makes some sculptures for paying customers. Many of his materials are donated by passers-by into the bed of the Chevy parked outside his house.

Thoma has been decorating his 1975 Chevy C-20 truck since 1985. It was initially covered in postcards, but now scrap electronics adorn the truck’s hull.
