Men's soccer: California dreams come true for Lobos.

UNM defeated San Diego 2-0 on Sunday with Oniel Fisher scoring the first goal of the game off of a rebound in the 52nd minute, according to golobos.com.

James Rogers scored the game-clincher in the 69th minute for a 2-0 win.

On Friday, the Lobos (4-1-0) defeated Cal State Northridge 1-0.

Chris Wehan scored the only goal of the game in the 19th minute.

The eighth-ranked Lobos dominated the first half with a 7-1 shot advantage.

“The first half was fantastic,” head coach Jeremy Fishbein said in a release. “It was some of the best college soccer I’ve ever seen. We played in their half; we connected passes; we squeezed the field.”

The Matadors had several chances to tie the game in the second half, but couldn’t come up with the equalizer.
