A whiteboard is a must for most students. They can be used for everything from weekly schedules to reminders to notes for roommates. Stella Bell Kemper, assistant director of ASUNM Arts and Crafts Studio, has a simple and cheap way for students to make their own.

You will need a glass picture frame, whiteboard markers and an eraser.

Step 1:
Lay the glass frame on a flat surface.

Step 2:
Open the frame and remove the cardboard backing.

Step 3:
Flip over the white sheet of paper inside of the frame.

Step 4:
Slide the cardboard back into place and fold the tabs back to secure it.

Step 5:
Hang your new whiteboard on the wall.
