This was quite the experience for myself and my friends — going to an unknown music festival that is relatively small but well known for having the best atmosphere and great people. The Desert Hearts Music Festival is tucked deep in the hills of Southern California on a Native American reservation called Los Coyotes. The music festival lasted a full weekend, with the music playing nonstop from Friday at 10 a.m. until Monday at 4 p.m. This experience was like no other, and I knew I wanted to share some photos of it. So many unique people from around the world came together to experience the four-day event just to dance the winter night away. I would recommend this music festival for easy-going techno lovers and for those looking for a culture-based event where complete strangers become family overnight. PHOTO STORY: Welcome Back Days shines spotlight on student organizations, allows students to jumpstart their path
February 3The University of New Mexico held its second part of Welcome Back Days in the Student Union Building on Wednesday, Jan. 28. This day was centered around student organizations on campus, thus allowing students to get more information on how to become more involved and best suit their interests as they start a new semester. For those who love being active in sports, there were organizations represented such as UNM club tennis and Fusion ultimate frisbee.
