On a brisk, sunny afternoon, the UNM men’s tennis team took to the courts for its final home match of the season.
Perfect weather and perfect play came together for the men’s tennis team on Friday at the Linda Estes Tennis Complex. UNM beat Northern Arizona University 6-1, in a game played outside in ideal weather conditions.
The softball team made it through Saturday with two wins, beating Northern Colorado and Central Arkansas, but failed to keep its undefeated season alive after it fell on Sunday to Purdue.
The men’s tennis team went into the Linda Estes Tennis Complex on Sunday with a three-game winning streak and a determination to extend it to four.

Getting the ball to the green and getting an “A” are one and the same for UNM men’s golf player John Catlin, a junior. He said it’s his rigorously busy schedule outside class that keeps him at peak academic performance.
