The raised beds are filled with organic topsoil and planted with chile peppers. Full sun will make for ideal growing conditions. Creeping groundcover surrounds the box and will help keep moisture in the soil.
Save the stems, seeds and membranes from the peppers. Simmer briefly to extract the capsaicin. This liquid will be used to adjust the consistency and spiciness of the final sauce.
