UNM triple jumper Jannell Hadnot jumped a career best last Saturday at 41 feet, eight inches in her first collegiate triple-jump competition, debuting as the fourth-best Lobo in school history. She finished sixth in the Cherry & Silver Collegiate Invitational. For the first time since 1992, University of Notre Dame will be in the state of New Mexico for a regular-season sporting event in any sport. The New Mexico Team Invitational is this Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Albuquerque Convention Center.

UNM’s Ridge Jones qualified to the finals of the men’s 60 meter dash with a solid time of 6.75 last Saturday at the Cherry & Silver Collegiate Invitational. The men’s 60 meter dash will once again be an event to watch with three of the top sprinters in the nation at the New Mexico Team Invitational this Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Albuquerque Convention Center.

Demetrius Walker #1 of the Grand Canyon Antelopes presses a strong defense against UNM’s Cullen Neal. Walker a graduate student of the University of New Mexico received a warm welcome from cheering crowd to start off the Monday night game at The Pit, UNM won 80-68.

UNM forward Cameron Bairstow shoots for two Sunday at The Pit against Charleston Southern. Bairstow had a career-high 11 free throws and had 21 points in the first half, with the Lobos winning 109-93. Head coach Craig Neal improved to 2-0, the second coach in the last 34 years to do so opening his Lobo career.

Allison Dunn places a sticker numbered one on the survey board representing retail & social space for the tentative Rec Center at the SUB on Monday. Organizers asked students, faculty and staff to place stickers with the numbers one through 10 to signify the importance of different facilities that will be built during phase 1. “The leisure pool looks very cool and a good idea,” Dunn stated.
