Shoes kind of matter depending on the shirt, though." With a rosary bracelet on his left hand met by a smiling skull, Manuel's style is one of carefully crafted dissonance, melding the rough edges of punk style with Catholic undertones.

Culture

'Brüno' delivers shocks, laughs

"Brüno" may be the first movie in history to feature a talking penis and open at the top of the box office. But that isn't to credit genitalia for the film's success, Writer and lead actor Sacha Baron Cohen's follow-up to the left-field smash "Borat" is a full frontal assault on cultural homophobia and America's surprisingly tortured relationship with male sexuality.

Former Lobo steps into radio booth

Just because football came to him naturally doesn't mean he'll be a natural at calling it. Kole McKamey, UNM's new radio football analyst, understands that he won't be a golden throat when he steps in the booth for the first time, that it'll take fine-tuning and learn-on-the-fly improvisation to perfect the craft, especially since he's never done it before.

2000 Vietnam a culinary adventure

The 2000 Vietnam restaurant, located on the corner of San Mateo and Zuni, pushed me to exercise the aphorism, "Don't judge a book by its cover." Why? It shares a building with Saigon Emissions Testing. Putting aside fears of emission-tainted food, I entered the restaurant only to be greeted by overdone decorations, but that's not so unusual among Oriental restaurants.
