Football: Lobos ink new tailback

The University of New Mexico announced on Wednesday morning the signing of its newest tailback.

Kentrail Moran was listed as the number one running back in the state of Illinois has signed to join UNM’s well-established running attack for the 2016 season.

According to a release, the back received offers from Big Ten programs including Iowa, Wisconsin, and Illinois.

The 5-foot-10-inch back out of O’Fallon High School finished his career with 3,569 yards on 692 carries, and 17 rushing touchdowns, the release said.

The three-star athlete also caught 65 passes in his career, his longest for 67 yards. Moran was named to All-State and All-Metro-East for his postseason accolades.
