Editor,
I would like to remind those so-called "peace-protesters" that our country is at war. We did not just arbitrarily decide to declare war on terrorism. Were it not for our World Trade Center and Pentagon being attacked, Afghanistan would remain an unrecognizable place on the map and the terrorists would just keep training more terrorists and harassing various countries.
Wake up!
Thousands of innocent American civilians were intentionally murdered by people who would love nothing better than to take over our country and several others so that they could impose their way of life on us all.
What do you think the Taliban does to "peace protesters" in Afghanistan?
I can guarantee they don't send out their troops to risk their lives so a few naãve idealists can retain their freedom of speech. Our troops are now risking their lives to protect people like you.

If you have that much free time and are so concerned for the refugees, you should consider volunteering to help in the relief efforts.
In this country, everyone is entitled to their opinion, but unless you have served in the armed forces to protect and preserve this freedom, this anti-American and anti-war propaganda is unfounded and downright irresponsible. At least consider those men and women who are fighting and have already fought for your freedoms the next time you want to get together and make a scene.
