Editor,
I am writing to request that whoever is in charge of the vendors that used to be on campus before all the construction work on the new parking structure, consider finding an alternative space for these people who bring cheer to many of us on campus.
Now that it's spring and we can linger outside, it's especially a loss not to have these friendly people with their colorful, multicultural and often relatively inexpensive (as compared to shops) wares outside the Center For the Arts - or anywhere on campus.
We all need cheering up with end-of-semester studies and the world situation just two of many problems to worry about. These vendors gladden many of us, even if only for a few minutes.
Some of the disabled students on campus especially enjoy shopping this easy way, in contrast to the struggle of going to stores.
Could not an alternative space on campus be found for our vendors such as by the Duck Pond, near the Yale Avenue shuttle stop or elsewhere?

Let's bring this pocket of fun and usefulness back to campus sooner, rather than later.
