During the Internet crisis here at UNM, some of us found it quite interesting coming up with some plausible business ventures. How about fresh canned air from around the world? Yes, it is understood that they already do this. Not in the way we have come up with though. How about canning air from different areas of the U.S./world that allow persons from anywhere to have a whiff of what that place smells like. That would bring about an even more interesting subject about healing aspects of different airs giving healing properties.
Any venture as controversial as this will raise the interest of quite a few parties and of those that have adverse reactions to it. One argument for or against it, depending on how you might look at it, is that corporations have done the same thing with water and gotten away with it. Look around, we buy water by the bottle, gallon, quart, whatever we can get our hands on and in such a huge amount that our landfills are and have looked like huge pits of plastic filling from the bottles, which brings to mind another business idea.
So what would the healing effects of air from different areas of the country/world be? Well, it makes sense that if water has a beneficial effect on our bodies then the air from different regions might as well, doesn't it? I say yes. Can this be proven? I am certain that the agency that investigates these types of things would be willing and ready to get involved with anyone's attempt to begin an endeavor such as this.
My own instinctive idea is that if I breathe in air that is absolutely free from impurities, there is a possibility that my body will actually like it. Although, my senses wonder if that could actually happen, would my body become so used to that type of atmosphere and get pissed off when it is exposed to something not so grand as the impure air? Well, I would hope not that since it has been exposed already for years to air that has its faults. How about a dose of the "grand" air every once in awhile to give my body a boost of energy. Is that possible? I say yes. Anyone interested in getting involved with this project of fun and games feel free to email me at positive@unm.edu.
I am sure the aggravation of the Internet being down has hit everyone here at UNM and other areas of the country as well. I choose to look at it as a very good way to get organized before the slam of the new semester begins, which is in my best interests. Organization leaves me feeling a bit more able to deal with anything that might possibly come my way. That of course has only come to be a part of my persona in the very latest times.
