UNM running back DonTrell Moore was cleared to begin practice Aug. 8.
The All-Mountain West Conference player was recovering from a knee injury he suffered in the Lobos' last game of the 2004 season. He sat out all of spring practice.
Moore went down in the first quarter of the Lobos' bowl game against Navy on Dec. 30.
He had surgery to repair the torn ACL in his left knee in the offseason.
He initially injured the knee returning a punt during a game at New Mexico State and missed the next game against Utah at home.
Moore has three weeks before the Lobos' first game at home against MWC foe University of Nevada-Las Vegas on Sept. 5.
