Although Houston is down in the series by two games, the World Series is far from over.
Now that the unexpected match up of the Astros against the White Sox has arrived, two underdogs are heading to Houston with Chicago leading 2-0.
These are the facts: The state of Texas has had two Major League Baseball teams since the 1960s - the Houston Astros and the Texas Rangers - and the state of Texas has never been witness to a World Series game before.

A combined 87 years of professional baseball, without ever seeing the reason they play the game. This is cause for a lot of excitement and adrenaline for the Astros - and their fans.
However, Houston has competition when it comes to who is a bigger underdog, and who is in dire need of the World Series trophy.
The Chicago White Sox fans would say they deserve the trophy more than the Astros do. Some Chicago fans would go as far as to say they deserve it more than last year's winners, the Boston Red Sox.
If you've ever heard of the Red Sox, along with their anticipated glory, you've heard of their curse. Call the curse what you will, but in layman's terms it unfolds like this: Since 1918 the Red Sox had not won a World Series. That is until last year.
The White Sox would contend they've had to suffer longer considering their last World Series victory came in 1917. That fact alone would make it a more unbelievable and celebrated victory.
Of course Houston has their rebuttal that not only have they never won a World Series game, but they had never even won a pennant race until this year.
No matter who wins this race, all I know is I have my money on this year's underdog - whoever that may be.
