Fresh off a 1-0 win in which the lone goal came in the 89th minute, the UNM women's soccer team knocked off No. 1-seeded University of Utah in the semifinals of the Mountain West Conference tournament.

The No. 5-seeded Lobos knocked off the No. 4-seeded Wyoming Cowgirls in the quarterfinals when Alanna Abeyta netted a header past Wyoming goalkeeper Ashley Sheppard.

UNM lost to Wyoming in double overtime during the regular season 1-0.

In the Lobos' semifinal match against the Utes, UNM got on the board right away when Terryn Granados capitalized on Utes' goalkeeper Ashley Mason's mistake.
