Editor,
In the article "Petitioning book prices," your reporter, Christopher Sanchez, described the New Mexico Public Interest Research Group as a nonpartisan organization.
This is a stupid and dangerous characterization. If one were to go to NMPIRG's Web site, one would find that they are actively engaged in trying to influence legislation, and if one would spend any time following NMPIRG's activities, one would find they invariably support the left side of every issue they take a stand on.
To attempt to give an organization like NMPIRG an air of neutrality and objectivity by calling them a nonpartisan organization is simply vile propaganda, and as such has no place in an objective article.
Please put an end to this practice and correctly identify such organizations.
