Saturday didn't treat the Lobos well, though, as they lost both of their games.
In the first game of the day, Central Michigan used a five-run fifth inning to win 6-2 after the Lobos had a 2-1 lead going into the bottom of the fifth.
Freshman first baseman Samantha Hughes was one of the bright spots for the Lobos, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.
The second game of the day was one the Lobos might want to forget, as they lost 17-7 to the University of Texas-El Paso.
It was the second win of the season for the Miners, as they improved to 2-6 on the season.
The Lobos lost their lone game of the day Sunday to California Polytechnic Institute 10-4.
With the loss, UNM fell to 1-9 on the season, while the Mustangs picked up their second win of the season and are now 2-8.
