The UNM men's tennis team was one loss away from dropping all three of its matches this weekend, but pulled out a 4-3 win against the University of Nevada-Las Vegas on Sunday, after losing Friday and Saturday.
The Lobos lost to San Diego State University on Friday 5-2 and the University of Utah on Saturday 4-3.
UNM is now 11-8 overall and 2-4 in the Mountain West Conference heading into the MWC Tournament that takes place April 27-29 in San Diego.
Against the Rebels on Sunday, the Lobos swept the doubles matches to take the doubles point. In singles, Johnny Parkes, Max Jones and Chandler Brass grabbed wins at the No. 1, No. 2 and No. 6 spots to give UNM the 4-3 victory.

The Lobos are tied for fourth place with Utah and UNLV heading into the tournament.
