UNM football players Blake Ligon and Herbert Felder were arrested early Friday morning on charges of disorderly conduct and failure to obey an officer after an incident at a bar Downtown.
Ligon and Felder, both 20, were involved in an altercation with police and bouncers at the Colosseum Nightclub on 515 Central Ave. NE, according to a criminal complaint.
According to the complaint, a bouncer told Ligon to leave the club, but Ligon acted aggressively, yelling and swearing at the bouncer. The bouncer requested the police, and officers who were patrolling the area at 1:40 a.m. responded, according to the complaint.
The complaint stated Felder began arguing and swearing at the police, prompting the officers to use pepper spray to contain and arrest both players.

Felder posted a $75 bond, and Ligon posted a $50 bond after both were booked on misdemeanor charges at the Metropolitan Detention Center, the complaint stated.
According to the complaint, Felder is scheduled to be arraigned July 21, and Ligon's arraignment is on July 26.
Ligon spent time as a starting safety for the football team last season. Felder was expected to be a second-string linebacker during the 2006-07 season.
Head coach Rocky Long could not be reached for comment Wednesday.
