New channel for MWC

Staff Report

Fans in New Mexico will now have the chance to watch a variety of Mountain West Conference football games on television, starting with the 2006 season.

In a news release sent out by the MWC, Comcast announced it will broadcast both College Sports Television and the Mountain, which is a new regional network slated to cover MWC competition. Both CSTV and the Mountain will be available to viewers who have digital basic cable.

The Mountain is scheduled to show nine of the 12 Lobo football games next season.

The Mountain will also be available through satellite providers nationwide, according to the release. However, DirecTV and Dish Network have yet to officially add the Mountain to their networks, according to the release.
