The UNM volleyball team ended a four-game losing streak Saturday by defeating Louisiana-Monroe 3-2.
The Lobos (2-5) struggled early in the Baylor Clarion Invitational, dropping the first three matches before earning their second win of the season.
UNM opened the tournament, which was held in Waco, Texas, with a 3-1 loss to Houston on Friday. The Lobos struggled to find a groove over the next two matches, falling 3-0 to Baylor in Friday's second match and losing 3-0 to Arkansas-Little Rock in Saturday's opening match.
The team was able to turn around its fortunes in the final contest despite losing the first and second games. The Lobos rallied to win the next three games 30-11, 30-21 and 15-12.

Senior Kelly Therkelsen played solidly over the weekend, earning all-tournament honors for the second straight week. In the four games, Therkelsen recorded 46 kills and 28 digs.
