Homosexual behaviors not unique to humans

Editor,

On March 9, Daily Lobo alumnus Benjamin Sanchez made an argument against homosexuality based on the fact that the biological ability to reproduce is limited to a male and a female.

While I don't care to comment on most of his arguments, I would like to point out that there is considerable homosexual behavior among animals. I grew up on a farm and saw it regularly among the cattle and dogs, for example. There have also been scientific studies showing homosexuality among seagulls.

I wonder if the dogs, cattle and seagulls will see the error of their ways anytime soon.
