Editor,
Let me get this straight. Some say that Americans who want to bring U.S. troops home from the failure in Iraq hurt the morale of these troops, but that extending their tours to 15 months would not hurt their morale. According to President Bush, there isn't a civil war in Iraq, just pure evil. This is from a man who didn't know the difference between Sunni and Shiite Muslims. Bush claims that if we don't fight the Islamofascists in Iraq who attacked us on Sept. 11, 2001, they are going to swim across the oceans and fight us in Baltimore.
Bush, a self-described "war president," is having trouble finding a war czar to manage the wars. After 9/11, Shock and Awe, Abu Ghraib, Walter Reed and Pat Tillman, maybe Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney should just resign and call for new elections.
Sen. John McCain claims we are making progress in the failure in Iraq. He claims the media isn't reporting the good news, even though the U.S. military, U.S. government and U.S. media systematically underreport the never-ending loop of daily violence in Iraq. On Thursday, the Iraqi Parliament was bombed in the Green Zone and a bridge collapsed. McCain should step down and resign, as should Sen. Hillary Clinton and anyone else involved in the failure in Iraq. Throw the bums out onto the streets.
Maj. Gen. William Caldwell claims that Shiite Iran is supplying explosively formed projectiles to the Sunni resistance in Iraq. In February, U.S. officials claimed that the EFPs were known to have been used only by Shiites in Iraq. The U.S. military claims that Iran is smuggling these EFPs into Iraq, yet just last weekend, Operation Black Eagle discovered an EFP factory in Iraq. How is a tank-busting EFP any different than a U.S. depleted
uranium shell?

UNM alumnus J. Torrey Baird Jr. wrote on March 27 that anti- war protesters should pay attention to the facts because the war on terrorism has been a resounding success. Baird has been angry since 9/11. It has been 2,034 days since Bush said he'd catch Osama bin Laden.
UNM student Aaron X. Lenard wrote that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction and moved them to Syria. Bush was right after all? What the heck is wrong with these folks?
UNM students who still give a damn about lies, about torture or about the U.S. Constitution should protest the failure in Iraq by taking over the SUB.
The American people need to remove the decider, the dictator, the tyrant, who is a threat to the U.S. and the free world. If Congress won't do it, it should be removed, as well. The world will be better off without Bush, Cheney, McCain, Clinton and Rep. Heather Wilson. Throw the bums out.
