Staff Report
The UNM men's soccer team has added two players to a roster already loaded with experience.
The Lobos announced on June 14 that they got commitments from Diego Barrera and Joel Thiessen.
Barrera is transferring to UNM after three years at Loyola Marymount University. A 5-foot-7-inch midfielder, he was named to the All-West Coast Conference twice and third-team All-Far West Region last season.
Meanwhile, Thiessen is an Australian native who becomes a Lobo after playing two seasons for the Australian Institute of Sports. He is also a 5-foot-7-inch midfielder.

Barrera and Thiessen join three high school recruits who committed to UNM in February. Ryan Farguharson from Phoenix, Chris Machin from Albuquerque and James Urbany of South Bend, Ind., will compete for
playing time.
Last season, the Lobos went 14-4-3, won the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championship and advanced to the NCAA Tournament after ending the regular season at No. 8 in the nation.
Lars Loeseth and All-American Andrew Boyens are the only players not returning.
