The UNM men's soccer team started its two-game road trip with a bang, downing Cal-State Northridge 4-0 on Thursday in Northridge, Calif.
The Lobos scored only four goals in their previous four games but erupted for their best offensive showing of the season.
On the defensive side of the ball, UNM recorded its second shutout of 2006, helping goalkeeper Mike Graczyk break the school-record in career shutouts. Graczyk, a
senior, has 26 at UNM.

The scoring was spread out in the UNM win, as four Lobos scored. Chris Wright got things started in the 11th minute, earning his third goal of the season.
P.J. Wilson kicked in his
second goal of the season in the 45th minute.
In the final 15 minutes of the game, Simon Ejdemyr and James Urbany scored their first goals of the season to put away the contest.
With the win, the Lobos improved to 4-3-0 while Cal-State Northridge dropped to 3-2-1.
UNM will play next at No. 12 San Francisco on Saturday, which the Lobos beat in the first round of last year's NCAA
Tournament.
The Lobos will return home Oct. 5 to start Mountain Pacific Sports Federation conference play against Denver.
