Editor,
I want to respond to Wayne Silva's letter published in the Daily Lobo on Thursday.
He states, "There's no point in trying to shield our children from sex." I truly beg to differ.
I strongly believe that children should be taught, during puberty, that they should not have sex unless they are ready for a life-long commitment to their spouse, and only if they are ready for the great responsibility of raising, educating and providing for their children.
If more American teenagers had this mentality, there would be less adopted children living in foster homes. As for blaming the atrocities and perversions of the world on a religious group, it truly depends on which deity you believe, because my God is not the same God who compels a few Muslims to commit suicide bombings in some parts of the world. I have yet to see a news report of a Christian committing a suicide bombing.
Silva, please get your facts straight. Also, I would never want to be in the same room with a group of atheists, because many of them have publicly blasphemed against the Holy Spirit. I'm not one to judge, but that despicable sin will never be forgiven, not in this life or the next.
