Men's basketball

The UNM men's basketball team is riding a wave of momentum heading into Saturday's contest with TCU at The Pit.

The Lobos have won three straight conference matchups.

UNM is coming off of a 73-63 road win over San Diego State on Wednesday.

J.R. Giddens paced the Lobos with a game-high 22 points.

UNM is 6-4 in MWC action and 19-6 overall.

Meanwhile, TCU is 12-11 on the season and 4-6 in conference.

Last time the Lobos played TCU, the Horned Frogs topped them 74-72 in Fort Worth, Texas.

Men's tennis

The No. 49 UNM men's tennis team is looking to get back above .500 with three home duals this weekend.

The Lobos kick off the weekend against Northern Arizona for doubles. The match will conclude on Saturday evening with singles.

UNM faces off against No. 65 Denver on Friday, before battling Oregon on Saturday afternoon.

The Lobos are 2-3 on the season.

Softball

The UNM softball team travels to the Crimson Invitational in Tuscaloosa, Ala., this weekend.

The Lobos went 2-1 in their opening games last weekend against Evansville.

The team showed its strength on offense, hitting a combined .347 with eight doubles and five home runs.

UNM faces off against host Georgia Tech, No. 2 Alabama and Middle Tennessee State in the three-day tournament.

Track and field

The UNM track and field team will be split between two locations this weekend.

The sprinters and jumpers will travel to the Tyson Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark.

Meanwhile, the distance runners will compete at the University of Washington's Husky Classic in Seattle.

The meets are the final chances for the Lobos to improve their rankings before the Mountain West Conference Indoor Championships on Feb. 28.
