Even for faithful Democrats, Obama is the wrong choice

Editor,

I am one someone many call "a bitter Hillary Clinton supporter for John McCain." But I'm voting for McCain for the reasons stated below and for no other reason.

As a decorated prisoner of war and Vietnam veteran, McCain has earned his stripes, and he is not so far off the "maverick" issues that he won't do everything he can to give the American people the best possible straight face on the issues facing the country.

I also have many reasons to not vote for Barack Obama. Many want to knock fellow Democrats for sticking to our instincts and remaining loyal. They can go ahead, but I can tell them that we love Clinton, our Democratic Party and our country. I love America, and I was a faithful Democrat for more than 25 years. Maybe the liberal party shrills should stop vetting the supporters of Clinton and start vetting the Democratic nominee. But they can't do that because the mainstream media and all of Obama's supporters would have a cow if the truth about him and his wife were revealed and it turned the American people off so much that he lost the election.

That's OK. They don't have to do it - I trust the American people to judge for themselves and realize what a cesspool the Democratic National Committee has become by stealing an election for an unqualified and dishonest candidate they have chosen to be the nominee.

Obama is a liar, a misogynist and a racist. He wouldn't know the truth if it slapped him in the face. He doesn't like to be questioned about any of his shady friendships or associations. He acts like he is insulted if anyone questions him about anything. He plays the double standard in that he wants everyone to show his or her records but he won't show his own. He questions McCain's eligibility to be president, but he won't produce his own birth certificate. What is he trying to hide? You don't hang out with people for 20 years that hate America and not share their views. Does he think all the people are ignorant and naive, or that we are all so enthralled with him that we will believe his lame explanations and excuses? He has never really answered the questions that were put to him. He dances around them, and he is no Fred Astaire. His judgment leaves a lot to be desired and is definitely questionable, since all of his close relationships and spiritual mentors are either people who hate America or liberals who want to take us to the socialist plan. I have not seen or heard of any normal, decent people who are close associates of his. I know he will put America in worse shape than it is in now. I am very concerned about the direction in which my party is headed. We are no longer the party that Franklin Roosevelt built. So that only leaves McCain, because Obama is not fit and definitely not able to be president. We don't have time for another "president in training."
