There are four general obligation bonds on the 2008 ballot. The money for these bonds comes from statewide property taxes. General obligation bonds are voted on every two years.
Bond A
Would distribute about $14 million to help construct and improve senior citizen centers in New Mexico, including about $2.4 million for Bernalillo County.
Bond B
Would give about $11 million to libraries statewide; UNM would receive $780,000.
Bond C
Would give more than $57 million to health facilities around the state. About $28 million of the bond money would benefit the UNM Health Sciences Center, including $17 million for the Cancer Research & Treatment Center.

Bond D
Would give about $140 million to higher education institutions. UNM would receive $17 million, and NMSU would receive $21.4 million.
Breakdown of UNM's portion:
$2 million for the South Campus Student Success Center
$5 million for the Biology building
$4 million for the Film and Digital Media Building
$6 million for the College of Education
