The UNM baseball team thrashed the Binghamton Bearcats 13-3 at Isotopes Park on Sunday.
The Lobos swept the Bearcats, winning Friday's game 15-2, only to outdo that by embarrassing Binghamton 8-1 and 30-2 in Saturday's doubleheader.
On Sunday, Ryan Honeycutt helped the Lobos to their 13th win of the season. UNM is 13-2 overall.
The sophomore was 4-of-4 from the plate on Sunday. Three of his four hits were doubles.
"Honeycutt had a big game today," Lobo third baseman Dane Hamilton said. "He has been on fire this year. He is fun to watch and, you know, his swing has gotten a lot better off the ball. He has learned how to hit it on all sides of the field."
Honeycutt said his work ethic has contributed to his success.

"I just want to work hard every day, and I think it has really paid off," Honeycutt said. "Guys are hitting well, and it is contagious. I mean, when you score 30 runs, you want to score just as many the next day."
After squandering a two-run, first-inning lead on Sunday, the Bearcats quickly tied the game in the top of the second inning and eventually took a 3-2 lead in the top of the third, but it was short-lived.
The Lobos scored three runs in the fourth, taking a 5-3 lead.
Honeycutt hit his second double of the game to lead off the bottom of the fourth for the Lobos. Brian Cavazos-Galvez hit a line drive past Bearcat third baseman Kyle Klee to advance Honeycutt to third.
Kevin Atkinson followed with a textbook bunt to first base, allowing Honeycutt to score, tying the game.
UNM pounded out two more runs in the inning.
"I think our team can hit anybody," Honeycutt said. "I mean, we have a bunch of great hitters. One through nine and guys on the bench are playing really well, too. I don't think there is a pitcher out there that can consistently get us out."
A sacrifice fly by Atkinson caught Bearcats' defense off guard and Cavazos-Galvez walked around third base and scored with ease.
"We still haven't done what we can do as a team," Hamilton said.
After a rough start, Kenny Toves was pulled in the fifth inning for Jason Oatman.
Oatman pitched two solid innings, earning his second win of the season, before MLB prospect Cole White took command of the mound.
In Game 1, Hamilton and Cavazos-Galvez led the Lobos. Both combined for six hits and five RBIs. Max Willett finished the day with six hits and five RBIs. In Saturday's doubleheader, Hamilton continued his hot streak going 7-of-11 and hitting for the cycle.
"It was just one of those days that come around every once in a while," Hamilton said. "I hit some balls hard, but I got some breaks on a couple of balls, too. Like I said, just one of those days where I just found a hole and everything kind of went my way."
