Two Lobos arrested for Downtown infractions

Two current UNM football players, Byron Bell, 20, and Quintell Solomon, 19, were arrested early Sunday morning in Downtown Albuquerque, according to the Bernalillo County Metropolitan Court Web site.

The two were charged with disorderly conduct and participating in a public affray.

Bell, who was the Lobos' starting right offensive tackle in 2008, was also charged with larceny/shoplifting, and Solomon was charged with offenses by a minor. Solomon is the younger brother of Lobo safety Frankie Solomon.

Head coach Mike Locksley released a statement through the UNM Media Relations department indicating that Bell and Solomon have been suspended indefinitely from all football-related activities.

"Byron and Quintell will not participate in any activities with our football program until we obtain more information about the incident," Locksley said in the statement.ˇ"We will determine the appropriate disciplinary action after we receive that information."

These arrests make four in the last five months.
