The UNM women’s basketball team rebounded from its first loss of the season, capturing a 67-44 victory over winless Weber State on Tuesday night at The Pit.
Senior guard Caroline Durbin led the Lobos (6-1) in the scoring column with 15 points. Junior forward Deeva Vaughn had 14 points and a team-high eight rebounds.
For Weber State (0-6), forward Amanda Hughes scored 13 points and guard Regina Okoye scored 10.
UNM shot 26 of 62 from the field (45.2 percent) and made 10 of its 13 free throws (76.9 percent). The Lobos limited Weber State to 15 of 67 shooting (22.4 percent) and held a 33-18 halftime lead.
