Volleyball
The New Mexico volleyball team earned its eighth-straight victory at Air Force in four-sets (25-17, 25-21, 21-25, 26-24).
Junior right side hitter Chantale Riddle, senior Lexi Ross and freshman Cassie House each had 11 kills for UNM. Riddle also had 12 digs.
Redshirt sophomore Hannah Johnson recorded her seventh double-double of the season with 40 assists and 11 digs.
The Lobos are now 9-1 (1-0 MWC) for the year while the Falcons fall to 2-9 (0-1 MWC).
UNM’s next match will be tonight in Las Cruces to face New Mexico State (5-7) in the Rio Grande Rivalry at 7 p.m.
Women’s Golf
The New Mexico women’s golf team finished in eighth place, carding a 901 ( 25) over the weekend at the Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational.
Pepperdine was the only team to finish under par with an 865 (-11), winning the tournament by 12 strokes over second-place Oregon.
Pepperdine dominated the final round by tying the course record of 284, which was set by the Wave in 2009.
Oregon’s Cassy Isagawa took the individual crown with a 207 (70, 68, 69), tying the tournament record. Isagawa won the tournament by six strokes.
