Volleyball
The New Mexico volleyball team swept Nevada 3-0 on Saturday.
Junior Chantale Riddle had a game-high 18 kills and 12 digs.
Sophomore Hannah Johnson had 32 assists, seven digs and three blocks. Senior libero Miquella Lovato added 15 digs.
UNM is now 22-7, 12-6 Mountain West Conference.
The Lobos finish with a home game against Fresno State on Tuesday, then face San Jose State on Wednesday for their season finale.
Swimming & Diving
The New Mexico swimming and diving team defeated one team in its quad meet over the weekend in Seidler Natatorium.
The Lobos beat Grand Canyon 242-89, lost to Wyoming 224-127, and were defeated by Nevada 176-175.
UNM finished second and third in the 200-yard freestyle relay. The Lobos also took second and third in the 200-yard backstroke.
Freshman Lindsey Englestead placed third in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:23.63.
Cross Country
The New Mexico men’s and women’s cross country teams placed 11th and 10th, respectively, at the NCAA Cross Country Championships on Saturday in Terre Haute, Ind.
It was the first time in school history that both teams placed in the top 12 at the NCAA Championships.

For the women, Sammy Silva earned 12th place with a time of 20 minutes, 25.6 seconds. Charlotte Arter placed 18th, clocking in at 20:30.9.
“They executed the race plan really well,” head coach Joe Franklin said in a release. “For Sammy to get 12th and Charlotte to get 18th, that’s just a phenomenal run by both of them.”
Luke Caldwell paced the men with a 10th place mark, finishing in 30:17.2. It was Caldwell’s second straight All-American nod.
UNM’s Patrick Zacharias and Adam Bitchell both placed in the top 100.
“They did a great job,” Franklin said. “They went out after it. The philosophy was, ‘Let’s give it a shot and let’s see what happens.’”
