UNM is set to launch its annual United Way of Central New Mexico’s fundraiser.
UWCNM is the local branch of the United Way of America. The organization focuses on helping communities in Bernalillo, Sandoval, Torrance and Valencia counties by obtaining resources to improve lives and strengthen communities, according to the UWCNM website.
In 2014 UWCNM’s campaign raised $950,000, and organizers hope to surpass that number with this year’s campaign.
This year’s fundraising campaign runs through Nov. 19. Campus organizers are hosting a Donut kickoff event at 8:30 a.m. on Oct. 7 at Hodgin Hall.
More information is available on UWCNM’s website.
