President Garnett Stokes Speaks on Snipers at UNM During Peaceful Protest

A photograph of two New Mexico State Police officers climbing atop the University of New Mexico’s George Pearl Hall carrying what appeared to be sniper rifles on Sunday evening has circulated widely on social media, drawing condemnation from the campus community in all directions. Data editor Joe Rull conducted an interview with President Stokes to ask her about her stance on NMSP carrying snipers during protests, and whether she would condemn the action moving forward.
