Bush’s stem-cell decision was amusing, hypocritical

Editor,

I hope I’m not the only one who found George W. Bush’s moral dilemma regarding stem-cell research amusing.

It seems like the only time he really cares about the life and health of our country’s citizens is when we reside in our mothers’ wombs.

This is the same president who wanted to raise arsenic levels in our drinking water, supports economic policies that take power away from workers and citizens while compromising their health and safety and promotes policies favorable to big business while degrading the environment.

George calls his type of politics compassionate conservatism. I call it the politics of hypocrisy, corruption and greed.
